Grade 1 Program

This 40-45 minute program highlights the three main objects of the sky - the Moon, the Sun, and stars. It contains four parts:
1. Getting to know the sky - an overview of the objects in the sky focusing on the sun, the moon, and the stars.

2. A trip to the moon - where students learn a little bit about the moon, do a close-up of the moon, identify some of its features (such as craters), and see the moon phases.

3. A trip to the sun - where students learn about the sun, sun safety, and zoom into the sun (well, close to it)

4. Natick tonight. Showing what stars and constellations are visible this time of year and a little about each one. The goal would be to allow them to leave being able to find seven stars or constellations that night: North Star, Little Dipper, Big Dipper, the Queen, the King, Orion, and Sirius.
